Off to the first-ever ArchCon
Just dropping a quick note here that I’ll be soon heading to the first-ever ArchCon in Toronto, Ontario, Canada which happens later this week. I’m looking forward to it as I will be meeting a few fellow Arch developers I’ve yet to meet, as well as at least one I’ve met before. This will bring the number of developers I’ve actually met in person to seven if I can count correctly.
Of course, I’m also looking forward to a few other things – meeting some other Arch users and hopefully giving some good presentations that will get people excited about contributing back to the project. I’ve got two talks lined up: Arch Linux Projects and Hacking Pacman. I’ve never presented on these things before, so hopefully the presentations aren’t complete disasters, but I am looking forward to getting a chance to speak about projects I’ve been working with for a long time. I’ll be happy to post my slides after the weekend if people want them, but I think there might be video of the presentations so those will probably be a lot more useful than my rather sparse slides.
For all of you that will be there, I’m looking forward to getting to meet you. For anyone not making it, hopefully this will be a great success and you will want to attend next year!
